LockedOn’s email engine – Behind the scenes

To give you some background, creating and sending bulk, dynamic emails from a CRM platform is quite an intensive process. LockedOn sends millions of emails every month, and our email templating system provides a wide range of widgets and merging options, which can deliver every client in your database a bespoke email based on their requirements.

For example: When an email is sent (by you, or automatically created and sent by LockedOn) – such as a weekly newsletter, automated enquiry follow-up, Just Listed announcement or a Matching Properties update – our merge engine is working behind the scenes to create a data-driven, unique email template for every recipient, send to a targeted list of recipients via our white-listed email service, and deliver statistics back to your LockedOn account.

With such an intensive process, it used to mean email delivery could take time, especially for large bulk emails to big lists.

Our development team has popped the hood on the LockedOn platform, conducting upgrades to the back end of the system – with a focus on improving email delivery speeds. As a result, bulk emails are now sending incredibly fast (in fact, more than 4x faster), meaning your email marketing now arrives in your client’s inboxes in no time.

These upgrades are now live to all our users, with plans to improve email processing even more in the near future.
